An Indianapolis Incident

We drove to downtown Indianapolis to watch the world marching band parade and parked in a multiple storey car park. The parade was brilliant with some very talented musicians and precise timing. We had a great morning. We stopped for drinks at a cafe bar as it was very warm and then went for a look around town. When we got back to the car it had been broken into with rear window completely smashed! Two rucksacks, our passports and mobile phones were taken. We had to stop and ask some passers by to call the police for us. We then had to take the car to the airport to swap it, but no more SUVs so got a Chevvy Malibu saloon to drive to Cincinatti. Arrived at Motel 8 to find we had no running water or Internet connection! After much complaining and still nothing done we left an hour later to find somewhere else to stay. But.......our sat nav broke and so we had no directions! Found a great motel/suites and have booked in for two nights to try to get things sorted. Yes, it was the thirteenth and don't we know it!!!.

The wonderful Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham, where Deb and Gillian were so kind and helpful. Fantastic place to stay.
