We have had the most amazing day! We drove to the Grand Ole Opry and had a tour of the building backstage and were able to sit in the stars dressing rooms. We actually went on stage too and stood in "the circle" and sang, on stage at the Ole Opry! How amazing is that, have a photo too. We then went downtown to Broadway (Honky Tonk Alley) where all the live music bars are. We parked on a shop forecourt and the owner showed us all his guns! Julia was holding a semi automatic rifle! After lunch in the Brewhouse Bar we went to the cowboy shops. I bought a pair of cowboy boots and got two pairs free!!! Had to be told twice as we didn't believe it!
We went back to the Grand Ole Opry for the evening live radio show and saw some amazing country musicians, Ricky Skaggs, Danny Gokey (from American Idol), Pam Tillis and the Charlie Daniels Band. We had fantastic seats really close to the stage. It was an awesome night, a once in a lifetime experience.
Back at motel now still 28 degrees, it's been 36 today and forecast hotter for tomorrow!
